In India, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities are recognized as active social contributions by companies. In India, which has broad challenges in environment, culture, and society, support from overseas companies creates many opportunities welcomed by locals. Many global companies implement CSR initiatives in India, either as part of global CSR programs or as independent activities of local subsidiaries. In India, there are also governmental initiatives, such as mandatory tax payments for companies of a certain size operating in India if they do not contribute to their country's social welfare.
